In Pennsylvania there are many opportunities through which you can get free training to become a CNA. For those students who may be experiencing financial difficulties but still want to enter into the health care industry, free or discounted courses provide the opportunity to move forward and build a career.
Employer sponsored opportunities are a great way to get started since you not only get free training but you also secure a job during and after completing your course. An employer will hire you to work as one of their CNA’s and provide you with training directly if they are a state-approved training program or to send you to a program of their choice. On successful completion you are then required to work for that institute/ facility for a specified time period (usually between 6 – 12 months) depending on your contract with the employer.
