This school will need to be a public and not a private institute of learning. The student must be one who is going to work in a public health related nursing career. American Legion Auxiliary – Department of Oregon – State Nurses Scholarship
Individuals who are the spouses, children or widows of Veterans from Oregon can apply for this scholarship. Awards are given in the amount of $1500. This is a scholarship that can be renewed fur further years in school. Many things will be taken into consideration for this scholarship. A student must be of good moral character and show that they will have what it takes to succeed in a nursing program. Financial need is another consideration for the program. Students will need to be accepted by a nursing program within Oregon.
