Do not let the cost of becoming an LPN keep you from reaching your goals. You can find a range of options to help you pay for LPN training or even to receive free LPN training if you’re in the state of Ohio. Put some time and effort into researching options for your area and your particular situations. Keep in mind that LPNs are in high demand and there are shortages of nurses in many areas. As such, many companies are willing to pay significant sign on bonuses for LPNs. If you must take some student loans to pay for your training as an LPN, this might not be a bad thing. You can search for an employer offering a sign-on bonus after you become licensed. Use that bonus to pay off your student loan. Many undeserved areas also offer loan forgiveness or loan payback options. You can receive help paying off your loans if you work in those areas.
Of course, you should always complete federal as well as state financial aid applications. These applications will make it possible for you to access grant and loan programs to help pay to become an LPN. The same is true of many scholarship opportunities.
