Free LPN Training in Texas

It is possible to find free LPN training or to find options to help cover the cost of training or to help repay LPN loans in Texas.  For example, LPN students with an interest in serving rural communities, can apply for one of the loan forgiveness programs available for nurses to help address shortages.  This program is designed to help health care related students to afford the cost of training while also helping rural communities in need of high qualified medical professionals.  If a student qualifies for this program, they will need to return to the rural community after graduating in order to work in healthcare in that community for a specified amount of time.

Individuals who do not qualify for such programs should complete applications to apply for federal and state grants.  It is also a good idea to contact local organizations and nursing associations to determine if there are LPN scholarships available for the school of interest.  Some individuals can receive tuition assistance from their employer or as a result of serving or having served in the armed forces.  With some research and patience, you can certainly find methods to pay for the cost of becoming a licensed practical nurse.
